Notes from the author...

This concept is a perfect vehicle to demonstrate that truth is always related to perspective...

The Concept:

Pagan Place parts the veil between the understood and the known. A place where magic and science are one in the same. A laboratory of galactic proportions that reminds us that we are “Spiritual Beings” having a “Human” experience not the other way around!

The series, first located in Sedona, AZ, is played out in a venerable, but reasonably kept center for a group of psychic: readers, guides, healers, and want-to-be(s). With the coming and going of people from all walks of life, the viewer will get a sometimes detailed glimpse of the spectrum from the divine to the absurd all in one passing day! Often times, it’s hard to figure out who has more problems and issues, the clients or the psychics who advise them! Each episode will feature a theme song to further embrace the emotional connection with spirit and remind us that we are “Spiritual Beings” having a “Human” experience not the other way around!

Locations:

1) The exterior parking lot and front of the center

2) The main crystal and souvenir shop

3) The book room and concierge’s desk (sessions scheduled)

4) The coffee and deli shop across the street

5) The bar just down the street

6) Reading rooms (# TBD)(decorated by the using psychic)

7) The trash dumpster outside the center

8) The Spirit Zone of souls in other vibrational dimensions

Main characters:

1) Main Concierge: Mara

2) Wise looking Sage: Vincent

3) New Kid on the rock: Jordan

4) Aura Photo reader: Laramar

5) Sexually challenged Healer: Cory

6) European women of intrigue

7) Doom and Gloom Seer

8) Sex Goddess (to all that view her)

9) Spirits (# TBD): Princess Amaragon, Leo.

The spirits take on many different forms, mostly invisible to the clients and psychics, yet add to the process. This can be very amusing when speaking with those who have pasted over i.e. the dead is saying one thing, the psychics translates it another way, and the client hears it even further from the source!

Minor characters:

1) The Main shop counter person

2) The Coffee girl

3) The Bartender

4) The Owner

5) Regular client #1* (sky is falling)

6) Regular client #2* (where is my soul mate)

7) Regular client #3* (what about this investment)

*(on-going examples of spiritual growth)

Guest appearances:

1) Stars that have had a bit of trouble in the News

2) Stars launching a new project

3) Stars reentering the market

Major Character overview:

01) The Main Concierge: Mara

Mara is more of a light being than a human. She is an earthy and vibrant young woman of 27 with piercing blue eyes. Like her animal totem, she embraces the ability to melt harden hearts with the gentle love of the deer. By seeing so clearly into souls, she is perfectly tailored to guide the unknowing visitor to a book, a reader, or a crystal. She stands 5’7” tall with long straight hair and almost always wears broom skirts with a matching top in every possible shade of blue. Her voice is a bit on the angelic side for those who require an additional bit needed guidance. Although relatively young, Mara is very well read and is always eager to engage in a philosophical discussion. In a previous age and time, Mara was well suited in her role as the Goddess of Wisdom within the Fairy kingdom. Production note: We could support a minor character which as a book-a-hollic could complement her passion.

02) The wise looking old sage: Vincent

The sage is at least in his late sixties as reflected in the wispy white beard and shoulder length hair. He stands six feet in height and sports a small offset smile and endearing laugh. He is also wrinkled on his hands and face from a harder life in the sun. His eyes however are truly the center of his soulful being. Like two pools void of emotion, they are forever watchful of all that come and go with each passing day. Our sage also invests his time in listening, reading, and tracking the activities of various groups in town. It seems that he is convinced that this is also a major location for every major government’s covert operations regarding gravity, electromagnetism, and time travel experiments. On the lighter side, his wife of ten years often deflects his concerns with witty retorts when faced with public situations. On a personal note, our sage MUST leave town at least once a month to a remote and unknown location in the surrounding area for three days at a time. It has been rumored that he leaves to have some sort of health or energy treatments. As far as patterns go, each morning he is the first to arrive and the last to leave at night. During his morning stroll about the center, our sage also can be seen moving various rocks and stones about. He is forever noting the presents or addition of various symbols that may have been changed since the night before. As the oldest member of the center (27 years), our sage remains far beyond the political concerns of daily life at the center and is left out of most the center’s drama. It is suspected that our sage has, in fact, three names: One he uses at the center, one used in his spy mode, and the last when he is “out of town”. Production note: This character is totally techno inept. He would struggle at the basics of using a cell phone!

03) The new kid on the rock: Jordan

Jordan is amazingly youthful soul who at first seems to embody both a masculine and feminine persona. HeShe is on the tall and thin side but can appear vary different depending on what HeShe chooses to ware that day. Jordan is continually concerned with being “accessible” to the widest segment of the general population which, on occasion, gets HeShe caught up with public opinion. With regard to HeShe’s spiritual abilities, Jordan’s heart is divided. The front side of HeShe’s heart is open, caring, and passionate. The back side however is perpetually seeking affirmation and approval since the age of five. This highly contrasting difference of emotion evolution leaves Jordan vacillating between being a “give-a-hollic” and a wounded and frightened child. One new aspect of Jordan’s effort to embrace both genders has manifested itself as a more powerful ability to heal souls with gender conflicts. With that said, Jordan still is concerned about losing access to HeShe’s male side. This is further affected by the realization that most female souls who get reading, prefer female readers. So, from a making a living point of view, his persona Jenna can make as much or more money than Jordan in any given week.

05) The Healer: Cory

Cory is a very vibrant young woman of 33. She stands 5’5” and sports dark red hair just below her shoulders. She dresses more toward being in her twenties and is well trained in the various massage arts. Although she is well on her way with her own spiritual journey, she is still challenged to find a way to define “healthy” boundaries between herself and her “male” clients that are looking for that “little” something extra during their session. This is a classic study in the intent of sexuality vs. the responsibility of expression.

09a) Ghost #1: Princess Amaragon of Nefilim

PA was once the “to be” queen of the Nefilim culture during a point in earth’s history more than 400,000 years ago. During this time earth’s native population was being genetically altered as well as being systematically enslaved to mine gold for an off world race. She, through a courtship was betrayed and tricked into entering a crystal. With her now trapped, her people became slaves to the mining project for the next 200,000 years. She has vowed to remain a spirit until she can reclaim her heart and trust of herself. To free herself therefore, she now is required to convince one soul to “unconditionally” trust her in executing a ritual that will shatter her crystal prison. Each time her crystal is transferred to a new soul she has one opportunity to temporally possess that soul in hopes of encouraging then to embrace their trust in something totally beyond their reality! While trapped in the crystal, PA has been witness to most of the most notable shifts in Earth’s history. The crystal has changed hands well over a thousand times while being hidden away from those who would identify her within its gleam. Now PA’s crystal has found its way into the center’s crystal shop at the bane of the storekeeper who has been unable to find a “good” spot on the shelves. Sometimes, in the dead of night, she reflects her impressions of those souls who visited that day with the other crystals near her on the shelf.

09b) Ghost #2: Leo

Leo, who had just reached his 18th birthday, stopped by the center as he traveled north on his “Spiritual Reboot Tour”, for an aura photo and a past life regression session with the Vincent the Sage. After leaving the center, he was the victim of a mysterious car crash that became the talk of the town for days. During Leo’s session (flashbacks), we note that he was on the cusp of understanding his spirit give ability of “True Seeing”. This awareness, coupled with the general paranoia of Vincent the Sage, fuel the possibility that Leo was executed before he could fully discover and share his new found abilities. For the most part, Leo continues to see “information different perspectives, spectrums, and shadows of various souls that visit the center with the goal of discovering his killer and their reasons. Leo looks like he could have been related to “Harry Potter” with his round rim glasses and average appearance. What sets him apart however, is that any time Leo sees something “untrue” his third Eye begins to glow. The color and spectrum of the eyes appearance depends on the type of untruth. During any given episode, we will look, on occasion, through his third eye to see the “type of deceit the soul is attempting to project”. This gives us an opportunity to consider how things, event, words, and souls can be very different from what they truly “appear” to be!

Production Scaleable Expansion:

The series will expand to include three major locations: Sedona, AZ, Mt. Shasta, CA, and Victoria Island, BC similar to the CSI franchise. A fourth series will embrace a “Reality” format. This approach would include follow up visits on clients that have had actual readings at one or all of the centers.

The TV series is intended to launch as a follow up to the second episode of a three part screen version of the saga. In all, the current scope of the project includes three feature length films, three TV dramatic sitcoms, and a reality “best of” series in the next six years with the final feature film’s release in 2012.
